Highlights

Lens View:
We believe that the media should help people make informed decisions about their lives and that this can promote development. The photo competition aims to do that, by showing how ordinary Bangaloreans fight the green battle.

There are two basic themes to the contest:
a) Highlight the effort of the local people working to reduce the effects of environmental degradation in this city. They can be simple everyday endeavors like shutting the tap after use or switching off lights, to large scale activities like a green building or an eco friendly product. You have complete freedom of interpretation, all you have to do is go out and shoot anything that deserves applause and recognition, irrespective of the magnitude.
b) Make your lens an opening to expose an area that is taking its toll on the environment: This can be a geographic area, the manner in which a facility is utilized/used or any other thing that in your opinion takes its toll on the environment, specific to our city. Its tell tale time and what better way to do that than photographic proof.
